DANCE
“Dance can express all forms of emotions; had Hitler resorted to dance to express his anger, the world would have been a better place to live.” – Biswas Timshina.
Every single one of us has locked ourselves in a room and danced to the tunes of our favorite number. That is because in that closed room we get a chance to come out of the various roles that we play in our life, like that of a brother, a father, a friend or a husband, and be ourselves for a minute or two.
Our dance is who we really are, dance defines us.
Event Name: Classical Dance (Solo)
About:
Classical Dances have always been a feast for the eyes. A small expression on the face of a classical dancer can create a stir in the heart of the spectator leaving them spellbound.
Classical dance is that wealth of the country which no intruder could ever steal.
Format:
This is a solo event where any classical dance form can be presented.
Rules:
- • Maximum 2 Registrations per College.
• Time Limit : Max 3+1 mins
• Breakable items, fire, water; inflammable items should not be used
• The performance will be judged based on choreography, Perfection, costumes, theme (optional) and props (optional)
• Any form of vulgarity will lead to disqualification
• Participants should report to the venue before one hour with their Music CD’s
Event Name: Western Dance (Solo)
About:
The west has always had a huge influence on us, be it music, food or dance. And what we have done is, welcomed those influences and made them our own.
Western Dance expands the horizon for any dancer and it is always fun for the audiences as well.
Format:
This is a solo event where any western form can be presented.
Rules:

Event Name: Group Dance
About:
It’s all about how you dance as a unit. Individually, improvisation is at its peak but in a group dance one has to follow the steps to the core. The margin of error in a group dance is very small.
Format:
Irrespective of the dance form, a group of students (Min 4 & Max 15) can register for this event.
Rules:
- • Maximum 5 teams Per College.
• Minimum 4 and Maximum 15 members in a Team.
• Time Limit : Max 5+1 mins
• Breakable items, fire, water; inflammable items should not be used
• The performance will be judged based on choreography, synchronization, costumes, theme and props
• Any form of vulgarity will lead to disqualification
• Participating team should report to the venue before one hour with their Music CD’s
• Please register your choice of song/music with your staff co ordinator, We request the staff co coordinators to mail your college’s choice to our astra mail id)
• We are not going to entertain repetition of songs, so register your selection of songs as soon as possible, to avoid any rejections!
