Event Name: Mega Rangoli
About:
A life without colors is hard for the imagination. On second thoughts, it’s not just hard but it’s impossible to imagine a colorless life. Colors bring joy (the other Colors brings us over-the-top, melodramatic soaps and serials), it imparts a smile on our face and makes life lively. And when all these colors are brought together to form an image, no literary genius can put that feeling into words.
Rules:
- • 1 team per college
• No restrictions in number of Participants per team, But the co ordinators are asked to give the participants list a week before ASTRA. Only the participants in the list will be allowed to contribute.

Event Name: Face Painting (Boys / Girls)
About:
The concept is very interesting, turning ones face into a canvas and painting. It is an exciting form of art for the artists but more excited are those people on whom the paint is being applied. Face Painting is certainly the most interesting form of art.
Rules:
- • Max 3 teams per college (3 boys team/3 girls team)
• 2Members Per team
• Participants are asked to come with their materials
• TIME DURATION : 1:15 Hrs
Event Name:Mehendi
About:
Why make the hands feel left out when the faces are being painted? Mehendi has been a part of our culture for centuries and rightly so. It’s hard to imagine any festive occasion without the girls decorating their hands with heena.
‘Why are girls so excited about decorating their hands with heena?’ a question that has revolved around every guy’s head for ages. Let’s see if the girls can answer the guys, this Jan/Feb.

• No templates allowed
• 2 persons per team
• Materials required will be provided

Event Name:Newspaper dressing (Girls)
About:
No, no, no, no… The textile industry isn’t undergoing a shut down. Newspaper Dressing is just a competition where papers, often thought useless by the public, is used by the thoughtful minds to create dresses with various designs and styles. For a fashion bug, newspapers are the perfect material for experimentation.
Rules:
- • Max 5 Teams per college
• A team can comprise of 2 – 3 members
• TIME DURATION : 1:30 Hrs
• Materials will be provided. Participants are not advised to use their own materials
• Judges decision will be final
Event Name:Sketching/Painting
About:
There is something about pencil sketches that is very peaceful. The shades, the pattern and the movement of those hands while drawing, it gives inner peace to the mind like a John Mayer song.

Event Name:Tyre Painting
About:
Now who would have thought that the black, dull rubber material could have had any better use than being flamed in the open as a symbol of defiance? Can the artists fill the tires with their art or will the abandoned tires be filled with stagnant water and mosquitoes? That’s something to look forward to.

Event Name:Hair Dressing
About:
The likes of Van Diesel and Bruce Willis often shy away from this event for obvious reasons. Art has certainly shown no mercy to the human body parts. Looking at how art is spreading throughout the body, a day might come when we could have a World Nail Painting Championship or a T.V reality show named ‘Let’s thread some eyebrows’..

Event Name:Collage
About:
Often, composing various photographs or newspaper clippings on a single plain sheet turns out to be a very clumsy piece of work. That is the challenge that the artist has to overcome. She/he has to make sure that the work is not over-done and the collage is presentable to the viewers.

Here Soap is not meant for bathing, but for sculpting! Show your sculpting talents and create jaw dropping sculptures!

- • We will be provided you with a large bar of soap, and all the contestants are asked to get their own sculpting/carving tools.
