On 22nd August 2025, the Women Empowerment Series organized its 28th event with the theme “கண்ணதாசன் பாடிய பெண்மையின் மேன்மை”, held at Dhiram Hall, Pavai Arts and Science College for Women, Anaipalayam.
The program began with a soulful Prayer Song and Tamil Thai Vazhthu rendered by the students. Ms. A. Asmitha of III B.Sc. CS welcomed the gathering. Shri CA. N. V. Natarajan, Chairman & Founder of Paavai Educational Institutions, and Smt. Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent of Paavai Educational Institutions, honored the Chief Guest with a shawl and memento. The Chairman also delivered his Presidential Address and presided over the function. Ms. S. Hemalatha of III BCA introduced the Chief Guest.
The Chief Guest, Mrs. Indira Vijayalakshmi, Pattimandra Speaker from Madurai, commenced the session with a song celebrating Tamil pride. With her melodious voice, she delivered Kannadasan’s philosophical songs, beautifully explaining their meanings and emphasizing their relevance to the present generation. Her performance captivated the audience and helped students appreciate the richness of Kannadasan’s lyrics. Students from Paavai Engineering College and the College of Pharmacy participated enthusiastically and thoroughly enjoyed the program.
Smt. Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent of Paavai Educational Institutions, felicitated the gathering and highlighted that women should face every situation with courage and confidence.
The event was graced by Mrs. C. Jayalakshmi (Dean, Counselling), Dr. R. R. Krishnamurthy (Director, Centre for Research), Mrs. Kamala Krishnamoorthy (Centre Head, Paavai Innovation Forum), Mr. M. Mohan (Professor), along with Deans, Principals, Heads of various departments, and faculty members of Paavai Institutions.
The program concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Ms. K. Benisha of II BCA, followed by the National Anthem.
