Paavai Engineering College NSS volunteer Ms.A.U.Lekha Shree, Second Year, B.Tech.(Pharma) was the proud NSS participant who actively participated in the Republic Day Parade Camp 2024, New Delhi from 01 January 2024 to 31 January 2024.
As an avid NSS volunteer she performed very well and got selected from the South Zone Level (South India Level) South Zone Level PRE – RD Selection 2023 held at Cauvery College for Women (Autonomous), Thiruchirappalli from 30th October to 9th November, 2023. She was selected by Anna University Pre-RD Camp (Anna University Level) held on 29.09.2023 at MIT Campus, Anna University, Chennai.
Thirteen NSS volunteers from Tamil Nadu were selected and they had undergone training in New Delhi. The volunteers were imparted training in leadership development apart from organizing various socio-cultural programmes. All the volunteers, after a month long stay together in the camp, got the prestigious opportunity to be part of the Republic Day Parade on 26 January 2024.
The volunteers also got a chance to interact with many eminent personalities namely Honorable President Ms.Droupadi Murmu, Honorable Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi, and Mr Anurag Sing Thakur, Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports.
