For the 5th year in succession, Paavai Engineering College, Namakkal won the “Champion of Champions” Trophy with a tally of 780 points in the Anna University sports Board competitions held for the year 2018 – 2019. As many as 500 students took part in the competitions from over 543 Institutions in 19 Zones.
The Anna University Sports Board organized its Annual Sports Award function for the year 2018 – 2019 at Anna University campus. Presiding over the awards function, Dr.M.K.Surapaa, Vice Chancellor of Anna University congratulated the medal winners and presented the “Champion of Champions” trophy. In this function Dr.S.Sivanesan, Chairman,Anna University Sports Board, Dr.M.Ravi, IPS, Addl.Director General of Police and Shri. CA.N.V.Natarajan Chairman, Paavai Educational Institutions presided over the function.
Paavai has international level well equipped Indoor & Outdoor Stadiums; Basketball court – 4, Volley ball court– 6, Ball Badminton court – 3, Kho – Kho court -2, Hand Ball court -2 (Outdoor) shuttle cork court -4, Table Tennis court -2, Basket Ball court -1, Volley ball court -1(Indoor) and we have well equipped Gym and Swimming pool with all facilities to keep them fit, healthy and stress free life.
Paavai Engineering College has won the Championship Trophy consecutively for 5 times is notable.
