Global Azure Boot Camp 2018 – an universal event conducted by Microsoft globally for introducing its cloud computing service AZURE to all its users and learners with different learning level from starters to intermediates and advanced. Paavai Educational Institutions is proud to be a part of this initiative and educating students on latest and employability creating technology. Microsoft Innovation Centre did organize this one – day event on 21.04.2018 for around 60 students from various departments with Azure technology and its services. The event began with prayer song by students followed by schedule brief to attendees. Mr. Srinivasan – Director, Placement in his key note address shared about the importance of Cloud Computing in today’s industry usage. Learning Microsoft Azure would guide them in choosing their career in right stream. Around 10.00am the technical session started with “Introduction to Azure and its Services” by Mr. G. Anwar Basha, Coordinator, Microsoft Innovation Centre. He briefed about the evolution of Azure and the various services catered by Microsoft through Azure. Next topic was “Getting started with Azure Web Apps” which was delivered by Ravishankar, a second year Computer Science engineering student of PCT, who covered topic on creating web apps and deploying them on Azure. The next topic was “Introduction to Azure SQL Database” delivered by Vidhyadharan, a final year student of PEC with IT major. In his topic he discussed about database creating with Azure and its uses with various services. The last two topics were “Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning – Introduction with Azure” by Kishore Chowdhary, final year IT student and “Implementing Azure Virtual Machines” by Gayathri final year MCA student. All the key speakers are MSP for the year 2017 – 2018. Since it was the event for the students by the students it gathered great response and attendees were fed with more knowledge of Azure. And finally, how could the participants would be left with empty stomachs. A complementary lunch pack was delivered by Subway for the participants. To conclude the event, every individual participant was given Azure activation pass which will be valid for the next three months.
