Paavai Institutions, Government Hospital, Namakkal and Government Hospital, Rasipuram jointly organized the Blood Donation Camp on 05.10.16 on the College premises. The program started on a divine note with the prayer song. Ms.A.Dhivyabharathi of II MCA welcomed the gathering. Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal, Paavai Engineering College, presided over the function.
Dr.M.Premkumar, in his presidential address, emphasized the importance of blood donation in our life. He insisted the students to donate blood since it is a noble job to save number of souls in the world.
Dr.Preetha , Chief Medical Officer, Government Hospital, Rasipuram, in her keynote address, narrated the safety of blood donation for both donors and recipients and that the eligibility conditions must be determined before donating the blood for all the volunteer blood donors. She also explained that the donated blood is divided into various components according to the needs of patients. Each component can be used by different recipients for various purposes.
In this camp, Dr.Sudha, Medical officer, Primary Health Center, Belukuruchi, Dr.M.Venkatachalam, Block Medical Supervisor, Belukuruchi Dr.Pradeepkumar, Sanitary Inspector, Belukuruchi, Health Inspectors and S.Saravanakumar, YRC Coordinator, Paavai Engineering College were present and they encouraged the students to donate blood.
The students of Paavai Institutions eagerly participated in this camp and donated blood. Totally, more than 170 students donated blood. Finally, C.Rathnakumar, NSS Programme Officer, Paavai Engineering College, proposed the vote of thanks.
