The 78th Independence Day celebration at Paavai Educational Institutions was a grand event organized by all the colleges under the Paavai group. The ceremony began with the Tamil Thaai Vazhthu and the Flag Song. The Chairman of Paavai Educational Institutions, Auditor Mr. N.V. Natarajan, hoisted the national flag, officially inaugurating the celebration. Following this, the Chairman received the salute from students representing all the colleges.
In his Independence Day address, Auditor Mr. N.V. Natarajan extended his heartfelt greetings on the occasion. He commended the students for their spirited, disciplined, and orderly parade, noting it as truly impressive. He reminded everyone that the freedom we enjoy today is the result of the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters, who gave their lives and shed their blood. He urged everyone to cherish the resources of our nation, highlighting that despite the differences in language, religion, and culture, India exemplifies unity in diversity. He emphasized the importance of understanding and valuing our nation’s heritage.
Furthermore, the Chairman stressed the significance of personal integrity for the country’s development, describing it as the highest virtue that leads directly to progress. He stated that individual advancement contributes to the nation’s advancement and encouraged the younger generation to embrace hard work, as it paves the way for progress and prosperity. He concluded by expressing his best wishes for the students to succeed in life with unity, compassion, and respect.
Following his speech, a pledge was taken by everyone present. The event also included the distribution of prizes and certificates by the Chairman and administration to students who voluntarily donated blood, as well as those who excelled in NSS, Youth Red Cross, NCC, cultural competitions, and various other contests. The celebration concluded with the National Anthem.
The event was attended by Paavai Educational Institutions’ Correspondent Mrs. Mangai Natarajan, Vice Chairman Mr. Manisekaran, Joint Secretary Mr. N. Palanivel, Treasurer Dr. Ramakrishnan, Director of Admissions Mr. K. Senthil, all college principals, department heads, professors, and students.
