The 24th Paavai Youth Festival on National Integration was celebrated at Paavai Educational Institutions on February 4, 2025. More than 1,660 students from 50 Government High Schools, Higher Secondary Schools, and Government-Aided Schools, along with 29 Private (Matriculation and CBSE) Schools from Namakkal and Salem, participated in the event.
Nine competitions—including oratorical, essay writing, poetry, quiz, drawing, rangoli, dance, singing, and science projects—were conducted separately for Government and Private school students.
The event commenced with a welcome address by Shri K.K. Ramasamy, Director-Administration.
Mr. M. Jothi, District Educational Officer (DEO) for Private Schools, Namakkal District, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his special address, he encouraged students to respect their parents, teachers, and elders. He emphasized the importance of quality education in shaping noble individuals and highlighted the aspirations of former Indian President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, urging students to set ambitious goals for their future.
The event was presided over by Shri CA. N.V. Natarajan, Chairman of Paavai Institutions, who delivered the presidential address. He spoke about the pride of being an Indian, the importance of patriotism, and the role of faith in life. He stressed the value of participating in such competitions, as they help students gain awareness of societal challenges and opportunities. He also praised the creativity, imagination, and thinking abilities of the young participants and expressed his hope that every student would excel in their chosen path.
Smt. Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent of Paavai Institutions, felicitated the participants. In her address, she emphasized that the Youth Festival serves as a platform to showcase students’ talents and promotes national integration through interactions within the campus.
The event was graced by Shri T.R. Manisekaran (Vice-Chairman), Shri T.R. Palanivel (Secretary), the Director of Admissions, the Dean of Counseling, the Dean of Academics, event coordinators, principals of Paavai Group of Institutions, HODs, staff members, and B.Ed. students.
Prizes and certificates were awarded to the winners of the competitions, with the dignitaries distributing the awards to students who secured first, second, and third places in each category.
Teachers and students from participating schools shared enthusiastic feedback, expressing appreciation for the excellent organization and hospitality provided by Paavai Institutions.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. C. Jayalakshmi, Dean of Counseling, Paavai Institutions, followed by the National Anthem.
