Inauguration of First-Year Classes at Paavai Engineering Colleges – “VIDHAI”
New Horizons, New Heights!!
The inaugural function for the commencement of classes for first-year undergraduate and postgraduate students of Paavai Engineering Colleges for the academic year 2025–2026 was held with great enthusiasm. The event was presided over by the Founder and Chairman of Paavai Educational Institutions, Shri CA N.V.Natarajan. The welcome address was delivered by the Director (Administration), Dr. K. K. Ramasamy.
Smt Mangai Natarajan, the Correspondent of Paavai Educational Institutions, inaugurated the function by lighting the traditional kuthuvilakku and delivered the felicitation address.
Subsequently, Founder and Chairman Shri CA N.V.Natarajan formally inaugurated the classes and delivered the presidential address. In his speech, he conveyed his warm wishes to the students who had begun their academic journey with confidence at Paavai. He emphasized that just as the five faces of a traditional lamp radiate light together, the future of students becomes bright when students, teachers, parents, society, and administration work together with a unified purpose. He stated that Paavai Educational Institutions always function with the welfare of students as the top priority.
He highlighted the institution’s consistent achievements, including securing the first rank in Anna University sports rankings for nine consecutive years, recognition as a National Remote Sensing Centre of ISRO’s Meteorological Division, and securing the fourth place in Tamil Nadu among 435 Anna University-affiliated colleges in engineering counselling admissions. He encouraged students to make full use of the opportunities available at the institution, including advanced laboratories, research centres, innovation and incubation centres, IAS coaching facilities, libraries, internships, MoUs with leading companies, and globally recognized certification courses.
He advised students to develop communication skills and language proficiency during their academic years, avoid wasting time on distractions, cultivate the habit of reading books, and sharpen their knowledge. He further emphasized that education is the greatest strength for students and urged them to remain positive, aim high, and achieve success through hard work and focus. He encouraged them to respect parents and elders and progress in life, noting that when students progress, their families and society also progress. He concluded by saying that the students have been sown like seeds in the fertile soil of Paavai and expressed his wishes for them to grow into strong, fruitful trees.
Following this, Shri CA N.V.Natarajan introduced the principals and heads of departments. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Premkumar, Principal of Paavai Engineering College, and ended with the National Anthem.
