The Deputy Collector of Namakkal District, Mr. Ankit Kumar Jain, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Mr. Ajmal Tasheen, a final-year Cyber Security student, delivered the welcome address and greeted the gathering.

Smt. Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent of Paavai Educational Institutions, lit the traditional lamp and delivered the felicitation address.

The Founder and Chairman honored the Chief Guest with a memento and a shawl as a token of respect.

Chief Guest Mr. Ankit Kumar Jain formally inaugurated all the clubs. Along with the Founder and Chairman and the Correspondent, he administered the oath of office to the newly elected student leaders. Subsequently, the student leaders of all departments took the pledge.

In his special address, Mr. Ankit Kumar Jain congratulated the students who had assumed new responsibilities and extended his wishes on Engineers’ Day. He stated that students possess creative abilities to innovate, and that education equips them with the necessary skills. He emphasized that those serving as Presidents, Secretaries, Treasurers, and in other leadership roles must first develop strong leadership qualities. They should set high goals and work with proper planning and execution. He advised students to complete each day’s tasks on the same day to create more opportunities for the future.

He further highlighted four essential qualities of a good leader: hard work, love and humility, respect for others, and gratitude. These qualities, he said, not only impart knowledge but also develop managerial skills, social skills, decision-making ability, presence of mind, teamwork, leadership skills, technical knowledge, and soft skills. Such skills would enhance students during their college years and also elevate them in their future careers and professions.

He cited the example of Indra Nooyi, stating that her active involvement in various creative and leadership activities during her college days contributed to her success, enabling her to consistently feature among the world’s 100 most powerful women. He concluded by wishing the students success in achieving great milestones in their lives.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Swathini Sri, a final-year Computer Engineering student, followed by the National Song.
