A grand welcome function was organized for the hostel students at Paavai Educational Institutions. The event was presided over by the Founder and Chairman of Paavai Institutions, Shri CA N.V.Natarajan. Third-year student Ms. Pavithra delivered the welcome address and greeted the gathering.
Smt. Mangai Natarajan, the Correspondent of Paavai Educational Institutions, delivered the felicitation address and added grace to the occasion.
Founder and Chairman Shri CA N.V.Natarajan delivered the presidential address. In his speech, he expressed his happiness in welcoming and congratulating the hostel students. He stated that although students come from different places, speak different languages, and belong to diverse cultural backgrounds, they would now embark on a shared journey in unity to pursue their education. This experience, he said, would teach them to adapt and live harmoniously within a new community while building meaningful friendships.
He added that hostel life nurtures valuable qualities such as punctuality, time management, self-reliance, teamwork, cooperation, and a sense of brotherhood, which would guide them throughout their lives.
He advised the students to begin planning their academic journey early, focusing on their studies, marks, and internships. He emphasized that in the modern era, innovative thinking and creativity are essential in shaping competent graduates. Therefore, students should combine theoretical knowledge with practical learning and make effective use of the laboratories available on campus. He also mentioned that, in the future, laboratories and libraries would function round the clock for the benefit of students.
He reminded them that every action and decision taken at a young age shapes their future and urged them to utilize their college years productively. These years, he said, would help them learn self-management and set them apart from others. He concluded by encouraging the students to grow and flourish like the Bodhi tree during their college days and wished them success in becoming achievers in life.
The event was followed by captivating cultural performances by the students. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by first-year student Ms. Preethi.
