“ASTRA 2026” – A two day intra-collegiate cultural extravaganza was organized by Paavai Educational Institutions under the student activity forum AURA and SPARISM on 27.03.2026 and 28.03.2025 for Engineering students headed by Director Student Affairs.
In the day 2 of ASTRA’26, events grouped under 12 categories like Dance, Let’s Talk, Dramatics, Quiz, Tamil forum, Media, Art Attack, Fireless Cooking, Sports events etc were conducted. In Dance category, Reflections, Solo – Non Classical, Trio Coordination, Stepup Group Choreo War, Resonance – True Choreo Challenge, Oyillatam (Boys), Oyillatam (Girls), In Dramatics category, Street Play [Boys], Street Play [Girls], In Art Attack category, Revive – Waste Art installation Challenge, Mehendi, Embroidery, Clay Modeling, Hair Dressing, Painting on Coconut, Face Painting, In Design category, Lamp Design, Dry flower/leaf Bouquet Making, Brick Modelling, In Media category, Short Film, Magazine Cover Design, Reel it Right – The Digital AD Challenge, Podcast Pitch, In Quiz category, Quiz, In Lets Talk category, Turn court, Channel Surfing, Build a story, In Tamil category, Vivatha Medai, In Adventure category, Escape room, In Games category, Vazhuku Maram, Tug of War(Boys), Tug of war(Girls), Uriyadi, In Food category, Fireless Cooking were conducted to prove students’ strength and unity in this competitive cultural environment.
In the valedictory function, Director Student Affairs cum ASTRA Convener Ar. Avanti Natarajan welcomed the gathering. Famous Standup Comedian, Actor and Musician Mr.Alexander Babu performed a live standup comedy show on the title Isaiyum Nagaiyum for about one and a half an hour in Kalpana Chawla open theatre to a large gathering of Students and Faculty members of Paavai Institutions. Shri CA.N.V.Natarajan, Chairman, Paavai Institutions felicitated the gathering.
