The Inaugural function for the Business Incubation Center, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) was held in Paavai Engineering College on 15th March, 2018 at 10.00 a.m in the college premises. The function started with the prayer song. Smt.N.Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent, Paavai Institutions along with dignitaries, lit the Kuthuvilakku as a symbol of divinity. Shri. D. Ravichandar, Chief Executive Officer, JSW Steel Ltd, Salem and Shri.K.Sivarama Prasad, Assistant Director, MSME Development Institute, Chennai were invited as Chief Guests for the inauguration. Ms.R.Kavitha, IIIrd Year CSE welcomed the Gathering. The Correspondent, Paavai Institutions delivered the presidential address. She pointed out that Paavai College is always providing good platform for our students to bring out their inherent talents for innovative projects. The Chief Guest Shri. D. Ravichandar delivered the inaugural address. He insisted that students have the ability to do anything in this world. They should be bold enough to take up entrepreneurship and implement their ideas and solutions for socially relevant problems. Shri.K.Sivarama Prasad, Assistant Director, MSME delivered the special address. He highlighted that 38% of country’s GDP belongs to the MSME sector. And the MSME contributes 6000 various products and 80 million employments to Indian economy. He also listed out the government support for the budding entrepreneurs in MSME sector. The correspondent presented the memento to the chief guests. Director Administration, the Principals of various colleges of Paavai Institutions, Deans, EDC coordinator, HoDs, Faculties, EDC members and students took part in the function. The program concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Ms.S.Deepa, I-year MBA.
