Paavai Engineering College Nss Camp on 14.03.2018 - 20.03.2018

14.03.2018:

Paavai Engineering College Nss Team started the inauguration of the Special Camp at 3 p.m. Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal, Paavai Engineering College, Namakkal, was the chief guest and he delivered a special speech on the NSS volunteers. He suggested them to help others without any expectations, “Service to mankind is service to humanity” and also volunteers should become good leaders. After inaugural function, we had group discussion with the public as well as with the Ex. Panchayat President V.Palanivel about the activities of the camp.

15.03.2018:

We whitewashed the school compound walls and repainted the school campus walls and Govt. Primary Health Centre, Kannurpatti.A seminar on “Merits and Demerits of Internet” was given by Prof.D.Rajkumar, Head, Department of Aeronautical Engineering, Paavai Engineering College. The students and the public participated.

16.03.2018:

We conducted Plastic awareness Rally to prevent the usage of polythene bags and plastic bottles. We gave the awareness about effects of plastic usage for human health and environment to the public. We issued the cloth bags to the public. We also conducted various competitions for school children to showcase their talents.A seminar on the title “We can do anything” was given by Dr.S.Vadivel, Head, Department of Physics, Paavai Engineering College. The students and the public were benefited.

17.03.2018:

A free Medical camp was conducted by Doctors of Pudhuchattram and Vinaiteerthapuram Government Hospitals and their team members. More than 100 persons were benefitted by this activity.A seminar on “Empowering Youths and Future Voters” was given by Dr.R.Arangasamy, Head, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Paavai Engineering College. The students and the public were benefited.

18.03.2018:

We conducted Organic farming awareness rally. The awareness given to the public about farming method that involves growing and nurturing crops without the use of synthetic based fertilizers and pesticides. We planted the saplings around the school premises, streets and the lakes. We also planted saplings at every house.A seminar on the title “Importance of Traffic Rules and Wearing Helmet” was given by Dr.V.Manivannan, Assistant Professor, Chemistry, Thiruvalluvar Government Arts and Science College, Rasipuram. The students and the public were benefited.

19.03.2018:

A free eye camp was conducted by Dr. S.K.Sundramoorthy and his team, Lotus Eye Care Hospital, Salem. More than 90 persons were benefited by this eye camp.A seminar on “A Farmer from Every Home” was given by Prof.P.Muthusamy, Head, Department of MCA, Paavai Engineering College. The students and the public were benefited.

20.03.2018:

Valedictory function for the camp was organized by 3’o clock in the evening Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal, Paavai Engineering College, was the chief guest and he delivered a special speech on long term vision of the NSS volunteers and he said that each volunteer should adopt one child and guide them for their growth in the lifetime. The Report of the special camp was presented by Mr.C.Rathnakumar,NSS Programme officer, Paavai Engineering College. Prizes were given to the school children who won the competition like Essay writing, Oratorical, Singing, Drawing etc. Finally Prof.D.R.P.Rajarathinam, Head, Department of Mechatronics, Paavai Engineering College delivered the vote of thanks.
