Paavai Engineering College hosted a two-day National Level Technical Symposium, TECHFINIX’25, on 07.11.2025 and 08.11.2025 at Anandha Arangam. The inaugural session commenced with an invocation, followed by Tamil Thai Vazhthu. Smt. Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent of Paavai Institutions, lit the kuthuvilakku along with other dignitaries.
In his presidential address, Shri CA N. V. Natarajan, Chairman of Paavai Institutions, focused on five important values: education, practice, effort, hard work, and success. He emphasized the importance of setting big goals in life and shared his memorable experience of the late President Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam’s visit to Paavai, quoting his inspiring words: “Think Big and Aim High.” He added that Paavai is a student-centric institution committed to the progress and growth of its students. He also encouraged students to watch TED Talks, build their inner confidence, and expand their knowledge.
The Chief Guest of the day was Mr. Benedict Arokiasamy, Consultant and Chief Learning Officer, Movate Technologies. In his inaugural address, he highlighted three key aspects: life, continuous updation, and corporate expectations. He assured that students who make use of the Paavai Innovation Forum (PIF) will definitely secure good job opportunities. Therefore, he urged all students to fully utilize the opportunities provided by PIF. Earlier, Mr. A. Ajmal Thahseen, final-year Cyber Security student, delivered the welcome address, and Ms. G. Harini, final-year IT student, presented the prelude to the symposium.
A total of 67 technical and non-technical events—including Paper Presentation, Technical Quiz, Project Expo, Treasure Hunt, The Boomerang, Parachute Diving, Glider Modelling, Poster Design, Hitching, Agro Quiz, Puzzle, Word Hunter, Bio Bingo, Fun with Language, Biotech Trivia, BioPictionary, BioConnections, Tech Talk, Bug Fixer, Video Emend, Capture the Flag, Code Hunters, Picture Presentation, Code Cracking, Scale by Sight, Pirate’s Eye, Merry Blast, Mr. Charlie, ChemQuiz, Circuitrix, Mindware Maze, Pick and Place, Circuit Debugging, I-Connects, Multimedia Presentation, Oral/Poster Presentation, Think Tank Trivia, Mystery Mania, W3 War, Wonder Query, Technology Diggers, Chinese Whisper, Connection, Line Follower, Water Rocketry, Machining, Ad-Zap, Mastermind, Grandmaster, Coding Battle, Web Page Designing, and Technical Startup Ideas—were organized by various departments.
Around 900 papers were received from institutions such as IIT (BHU), Anna University, PSG College of Technology, SRM, VIT, Bannari Amman Institute of Technology, KL University, Jawaharlal College of Engineering and Technology, Saveetha, New Horizon, and Sona College of Technology, as well as from the states of Kerala and Andhra Pradesh. Out of these, 240 papers were shortlisted for presentation. Students also showcased their projects and innovations at various venues across the campus.
The valedictory session was held on 08.11.2025 at Anandha Arangam from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Feedback was collected from the participants, and the valedictory address was delivered by Smt. Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent of Paavai Institutions. She emphasized the importance of faith and hope in life and encouraged students to understand the fundamental principles of life. She advised them to prioritize their goals, distinguish between do’s and don’ts, face rejections with confidence, and maintain mental balance. She also highlighted the significance of both physical and mental well-being.
Cash prizes amounting to Rs. 3,50,000 were awarded to the winners of various events, and participation certificates were distributed. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. P. Pavaithra, final-year AI & DS student, followed by the National Anthem.
The event was attended by the Director of Admissions, Director of Administration, Director of Research, Principals, Deans, Controller of Examinations, Conveners of TECHFINIX’25, Heads of various Departments, faculty members, students of Paavai Engineering College, jury members, and participants from various colleges.
The enthusiastic participation of students from different institutions affirmed the relevance and significance of the symposium. The festival showcased the synergy of youthful creativity and talent, with a wide range of events designed to test skill, mental acuity, logical thinking, and creativity. Overall, it was a vibrant and engaging event that combined intellectual challenge with creative expression.
