Workshop on Teaching Mathematics to Engineering Staffs and Students on 22 & 23,August,2014
Under the auspices of ARYABATA MATH FORUM, an awareness programme under the title YOUR LIFE JOURNEY-NEXT FOUR YEARS was conducted for the first year B.E/B.TECH students on 23/8/2014 at Ananda Arangam.
- The inaugural function commenced with the prayer song
- Shri CA N.V.Natarajan, Chairman, Paavai Institutions, presided over the function
- Mr.K.N.Visvesvaran, Chief Mentor, Hexavarsity, Hexaware Technologies, Bangalore and Prof.K.N.Ranganathan, Viroopaksha Foundations, were the chief guests Mr. K.N.Visvesvaran, in his inaugural address, offered a few valuable tips and suggestions to the first year B.E/B.TECH students about the next four years of their life journey. He suggested that the next four years is the crucial period for them and they should spend these years very diligently and judiciously. He told that hard work is very essential and the four years of hard work would assure them the forty years of future life with joy and fulfillment.
- Next, he pointed out the dangerous aspects of T.V and mobile phones. He said that they are the two thieves stealing away one’s time and money. He suggested that the students could spend the minimum time on watching T.V and using mobile phones just to relax and refresh themselves. He, further, advised the students to aim at becoming experts or specialists in their core subjects or in their area of study. He also remarked that the students should make the proper use of laboratory equipment in order to gain practical knowledge in their respective domains. Again, he encouraged the students by telling that if they really study with concentration and understanding, unmindful of small failures, they could certainly succeed in life.
- Prof.K.N.Ranganathan explained at length how the subject Mathematics could be learnt in an easy and interesting way
- Smt Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent, Paavai Institutions, in her felicitation speech, spoke about the importance of Maths and its applications in Science and Technology
- Dr.K.K.Ramasamy, Director and Sr Principal, Principals, Deans, Professors and Faculty members graced the function with their presence
- Earlier, Ms.C.Induja welcomed the gathering and in the end Ms.E.Sowbarnika proposed the vote of thanks.
