The inauguration of Faculty Re validation programme for the academic year 2022-2023 was held on 23.01.2023

The inauguration of Faculty Re validation Programme (FRP) for the academic year 2022-23 for the faculty members of Paavai Engineering College, Paavai College of Engineering, Paavai College of Technology, Paavai Polytechnic College, Paavai Arts and Science college for Women, Paavai college of Nursing and Research, Paavai college of Pharmacy and Research, Paavai Institute of Allied Health Sciences and Paavai Physiotherapy science College was held at the Smart Hall by 02.00 p.m. on 23.01.2023. The programme started with the prayer song.

Smt.MangaiNatarajan, Correspondent, Paavai Institutions, inaugurated the event by lighting the kuthuvilakku and delivered the felicitation address. The welcome address was given by Dr.K.Selvi, Dean Academics, Paavai Engineering College. The Chairman, delivered the inaugural address, he insisted that this FRP is a healthy exercise for the faculty members to enrich, develop, and update their professional skills in teaching and learning process. He further highlighted the 8 skills, such as 1.Patience and Creativity 2. Identify students learning Capacity 3.Be Enthusiast and Confidence 4.Dedication 5. Adopt new technology 6.Colloboration 7.Evaluation of Performance and 8.Feedback. He explained about the moulding teacher to give their best to the students. One who becomes an expert in teaching field should utilize the opportunity to improve their skills to benefit.

Smt.MangaiNatarajan, Correspondent, Paavai Institutions, felicitated the gathering. She explained that the purpose of teaching is to have clarity in thoughts, words and expressions. She also highlighted the role of teacher. She said that the presenters should have the thirst to learn and update their knowledge and skill from the seniors and experts on the panel. She expressed that FRP is a concept Practiced in Paavai which is the initiative of Chairman Sir. She insisted that marks are not the central core of education. She concluded that the teacher should know their subjects and Students.  Dr.K.K.Ramasamy, Director Administration, Paavai Institutions, addressed the gathering. He pointed out that FRP is to improve their knowledge and skills. He pointed out that since inception of the college FRP is being conducted regularly.  He stressed on the objectives, importance and ideology of Faculty Revalidation Programme.

 Next, Prof.A.S.Kandasamy, retired Chief Engineer, TNEB and Prof.Emeritius stated that the knowledge of the fundamentals of all subjects is very important for every teacher to teach clearly and confidently. He highlighted that mere memorizing the subjects and reproducing in exam may get a degree, but it would not provide employability so, it is very important for every teacher to understand the subject and teach effectively to make students employable. He stressed that FRP is to improve your teaching skills and the faculty members need to update their knowledge in technology.  All the principals of Paavai Institutions graced the occasion. With this Inauguration came to an end

The Faculty members of Paavai Institutions presented their topics and the expert members of Faculty Revalidation Programme gave their observations, corrections and suggestions to improve their domain knowledge and pedagogical skills. Totally 130 faculty members of Paavai Institutions presented their topics and got benefitted.
