The first-year inauguration ceremony for the 2024–25 batch took place on 26.06.2024 in Pragathi Hall of Paavai College of Engineering. Shri. CA.N.V. Natarajan, the Chairman of Paavai Educational Institutions, lit the lamp along with dignitaries, which was followed by bajans and slogan chantings.
Dr.K.K. Ramasamy, the Director-Admin welcomed the gathering. Shri. CA.N.V. Natarajan, the Chairman of Paavai Educational Institutions, inaugurated the first-year classes and warmly greeted the parents and the students. In his presidential address, he stated that the four pillars of democracy are Law, Government, Judiciary and Media. The four pillars of the education system are Students, Teachers, Parents and Administration. The students schooling is knowledge-based education. But their college education is about knowledge and skills. That should be accomplished in all of them.
He also said to make use of the college’s laboratories, libraries, auditoriums, playground, internships, etc. to complete your education. He also insisted the students take an oath that they would only use their cell phones creatively and for good purposes.
Mrs.C.Jayalakshmi, Dean Counselling, in her felicitation address, emphasized the significance of women’s education and advised all the students to initiate their higher studies with the blessings of God and their parents.
Dr.J. Thavamani, Principal of Pavai Arts and Science College for Women, proposed the vote of thanks, followed by the National Anthem.
At the end of the inauguration ceremony, the first-year students performed Paatha Pooja for their parents.
Mr.K.Senthil, the Director-Admissions, Principals, Faculties, students, and parents graced the inauguration.
