Pavai Arts and Science College for Women and Paavai Polytechnic College held the Inauguration ceremony of the first year classes for the academic year 2023-2024 on 07.07.2023 at Pragati Hall. The dignitaries along with the representatives from parents and students lighted the Kuthuvilakku. As a Paavai custom, a set of students sang Bhajans on Lord Vinayaka and Goddess Saraswathi.
Dr.J.Thavamani, the Principal of Pavai Arts and Science College for Women welcomed the gathering. Shri.CA.N.V.Natarajan, the Chairman of Paavai Education Institutions hoisted the Paavai flag and warmly greeted the parents and the students. In his inaugural address, he explained that the five faces of the lamp that they had lighted up that day symbolize students, parents, teachers, society and management. All these stakeholders would work in unison so that the students will get the best education and virtues leading to desirable employment in the days to come. He said that only education provides courage, self-confidence, culture etc. He then advised the students who are stepping into the next level of education should be devoted to God, nation and people. He insisted the students to always stand firm in their success, adhere to the basic qualities of honest purpose, clear vision, perseverance, hard work, great discipline, and steadfast devotion and also be kind to the parents who live for them. He requested the parents also to understand their children, nurture them and guide them. He then advised them to take full advantage of the opportunities available in Paavai College, get better recognition, and live a life that benefits their family, society, and country and wished them all the best for their bright future.
Prof. Mr. K. Ramganesh, Principal of Paavai Polytechnic College delivered the vote of thanks. The program came to an end with the National Anthem. Later, all the students performed Padha Pooja to their respective parents as a mark of parental respect and love. Dr.K.K.Ramasamy, the Director-Admin, Mr.K.Senthil, the Director-Admission, Dr.K.Selvi, Dean-Academics and the Principals of Paavai Engineering Colleges graced the occasion.
