Paavai Women Empowerment Series XX held on 18.10.2023

A motivational speech on “பெண்ணே! ஓடும் நதி நீ ” was conducted in Anandha Arangam at 2.00 p.m on 18^th October 2022. The programme commenced with the prayer song and Tamilthai Vazhthu by students followed by lighting the Kuthuvilakku by the dignitaries.  Ms. J. Safa Fareen, a final year biomedical engineering student welcomed the gathering.

The Chairman of Paavai Institutions presided over the function and honoured the chief guest with shawl and memento.  Ms. V.Shanmathi of final year ECE introduced the Chief Guest Prof. Mrs. Punitha Ganesan, Secretary, Bharath College of Science and Management, Thanjavur.  Guest speaker in her special address expressed her happiness in meeting the students of Paavai institutions.  She said that education is like a weapon, which provides women values, elevates to heights and improves thinking skills. She asked them to continue to flow like a river that removes the obstacles that come on their way.   She advised the students to compare their education with life and apply it to progress in life.  She directed them to read a lot of books, which will make them wiser, full of knowledge and personality. She further said that women must act independently, realize their responsibilities, fulfill their duties and act clearly in their actions with vigilance and courage to possess exceptional qualities and authority. She then wished them all to rise in life with wisdom and inspire others with their unique personality.  The speech was followed by feedback session in which the students continued to ask their doubts as questions.

The Correspondent of Paavai Institutions felicitated the gathering. Ms. A. Vedavarshini of III B.A. English proposed the vote of thanks the programme came to an end with National Anthem. Dr. J. Thavamani, Principal of Pavai Arts and Science College for Women, Dr.K.Umamaheswari, Program Co-ordinator, Heads of departments, professors and students graced the occasion by their presence.
