Paavai Institutions have organized a one-day workshop for the office bearers of various Associations of all Paavai Institutions on 2nd August from 9.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. at Brilliant Hall. Mr.U.Jayaraman, CorporateTrainer and Consultant, Salem was the resource speaker. The welcome address was given by M.J.Safa Fareen from Final year BME, and N.Sanmathi from final year ECE introduced the speaker.
The objective of organizing this workshop was to inculcate the spirit of leadership, the roles, and responsibilities of office bearers among the students. In the presidential address, Shri.CA.N.V. Natarajan, Chairman of Paavai Institutions addressed that these workshops would be an eye-opening session for the students. He also mentioned that different leaders lead their teams in different ways by using their knowledge, wisdom, pure heart, care, and affection. He also wished the students to become great and effective leaders.
During the sessions, the resource speaker stressed the importance of energy, time and money. He explained the reasons, why people don’t opt for leadership. He also cited examples of young entrepreneurs like Nina Lekhi, Shradaha Dawan, Tilak Mehtha, Siddharth, and the hurdles they faced in their life. He also explained about 4R’s -Roles, Rules, Responsibilities, and Reason. An activity was conducted regarding the 4R’s among the students.
In the afternoon session, he elucidated the various leadership qualities such as tolerance, being disciplined etc., and the attire of a leader. He then explained the “11 I” formula, Leadership steps to become an effective leader. Finally, he ended the session with the various competencies to become an effective and efficient leader.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Dhanusree from the final-year Agriculture engineering department. Smt.Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent, Paavai Institutions, Director Administration, Principals of Paavai Engineering College and Paavai College of Engineering, Professor Mohan, Overall event coordinator, Dr.Banumathy, Professor and Head, CSE, Dr.R.Mohana Priya, ASP, ECE coordinators, faculty members and 150 office bearers were present in the meeting. As per the feedback received from the students, they enjoyed the essence of the workshop to become efficient office bearers.
