The Chairman Sir Session was scheduled and conducted on 17.10.2022 at Smart Hall. The session was conducted for 25 new faculty members and 65 Non-teaching faculty members of all Paavai institutions to make them familiar with the institutional practices, norms and culture. Shri.CA.N.V.Natarajan, the Chairman delivered his speech on ‘History of Paavai’. He shared about his dream and making of Paavai. He told that the Paavai institution is a ‘Noble institution’ because it has its own dharma. He highlighted the Paavai as a ‘student centric institution’. He also focused on Belongingness, Ownership and pride.
He explained about the culture of the Paavai and he particularly highlighted ‘We seek beyond the best’ and ‘Work shall be taken, not to be given’. He motivated the faculty members about the value added services and he explained that teachers should be an inspiring personality to the students. He also advised the faculty members to develop their creative and innovative skills. He also insisted the faculty members to develop the required skills needed for the industry which can be done through acquired skills. He said that the ‘Teachers are the guiding torch to the students’. He concluded by saying that Positive collaboration + Sharing right information+ working towards a common goal = Higher performance would take place.
He addressed the Non-teaching faculty members of the department like Maintenance, Office staff, Lab instructor, Lab assistant, Hostel, Bus, COE cell, IAS Academy, Accounts and Library. He particularly mentioned about the hostel and transport facility, the maintenance and the optimal usage and up keeping of the facilities provided. He suggested the faculty members of COE cell to maintain confidentiality. He instructed the Lab technicians to calibrate the instruments, apparatus and maintenance need to be taken care. He wanted each and every lab in our institution to be updated to the latest technologies. He said 100% commitment and accountability in the service they provide to students for their growth and development. Smt. Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent advised the faculty and for Non-teaching members to be duty oriented and to empower in their subject knowledge.
The afternoon session begin with the interaction and finally all the staff members registered their feedback about the session. Totally 90 staff members benefitted from the programme.
