On July 27th, 2022, in our college premises, our Honourable Chairman Shri. CA. N. V. NATARAJAN, Paavai Educational Institutions, and Smt. MANGAI NATARAJAN, Correspondent, Paavai Educational Institutions, honoured a memorial Tribute in remembrance for the7th Death Anniversaryof our Former President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
“Rook Tower” is a statue tower of Dr.A.P.J Abdul Kalam, Former President and Scientist, which is in the shape of Rook Piece of chess game was constructed by Civil Engineering students of Batch 2015-2019. We stabilize the soil using cement grouting. The substructure was completed by filling the pit with concrete and gravel as it was done above the Random Rubble masonry. Initial construction of the superstructure involved raising a layer of rectangular bricks. Circular brickwork extends the structure above this to a height of 4 feet and resembles foot coin in chess. A statue that weighs 250 kgis positioned at the top of the tower. Finally, we have completed the projects goal of inexpensive structure of 300 kg structure on the back fill soil.
