Paavai Institutions organized a technical conference on “INDUSTRY 4.0” on March 14th, in Anandha Arangam. The event commenced with a Prayer song followed by Tamil Thai Vazhthu. Cherub Ebenezer from Final year, Computer Science Engineering welcomed the gathering. Shri.CA.N.V.Natarajan, Chairman, Paavai Institutions presided over the function. In the presidential address, Chairman, Paavai Institutions insisted all the students to get themselves updated with the latest technology developments in all arenas.
Dr.M.Arumugam, Founder and Managing Director, Broadline Technologies Private Limited, Chennai was the Chief Guest. In the keynote address, he focused on demographic dividend and the tremendous industrial growth of TamilNadu in all sectors. He also cited that born leaders, brilliant contributors are from India and urbanization is at the best. He elucidated the evolution of Industry 4.0 right from 1.0 with steam engines, 2.0 with advent and usage of electrical energy 3.0 with various Internet evolution, access and 4.0 with the digitalization of all activities.
He added, adaptability to innovation and technology development is the need of the hour. He also shared the various advancements and developments in different fields like Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Robotics, Cloud Computing, Software as Service and Manufacturing technology. He insisted all, to understand the interdependency of Science, Engineering and Technology. He further advised the students to read journals and books of various genre to enhance their knowledge. He also added that deep learning of all courses must be done to make them industry fit. He further added that opportunities are unbound for all of us to make utmost use of it.
Followed with it, queries were posted by the students and was clarified by the Chief Guest. In the felicitation address, Smt.Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent, Paavai Institutions stressed that teaching and learning should happen simultaneously and insisted on Pavaai mantra “Own your words and deeds”. She added that education given to rural background students is to rule the world with their knowledge. She explained the importance of Intrepreter, Compiler and Translator. She insisted everyone to focus on their physical and mental well being for a happy life. Directors of Paavai Institutions, Deans, Principals, faculty members and around 1500 students attended the technical conference. The session was indeed an eye opening session of various advancements in Industry 4.0.
