A Two day International Conference titled “Adaptive Technologies for Sustainable Growth (ICATS – 2018)” was held on 20.04.2018 and 21.04.2018.During the Inaugural session the Correspondent of Paavai Institutions along with other dignitaries lighted the kuthuvilakku. Dr.K.K.Ramasamy Director Admin, Paavai Institutions, welcomed the gathering.
Shri N.V.Natarajan,Chairman,Paavai Institutions, in his presidential address, highlighted the difference between Graduates and Professionals. Further, he insisted the students to utilize this platform as a golden opportunity to develop technologies for sustainable growth. One of the chief guests Padmashri. Prof. R. M. Vasagam, Council Member IE (I), Former Vice Chancellor, Anna University & Dr. M. G. R. Medical University, Chennai unveiled the screen of ICATS-2018 and delivered the Inaugural address. In his speech he emphasized the importance of transforming the thoughts to ideas and implementing in recursion. Another chief guest Dr.Pinnamaneni Bhanu Prasad, Technical Advisor (R&D), Kelenn Technology, France, in his Keynote address, gave presentation on the real time applications of Artificial Intelligence, Image Processing, Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality. Special address was given by Dr.Ir.Nirmalesh K.S.Kumar R&D Program Manager, Enso Inc., Europe, and he insisted on the necessity of understanding formulas for a better research outcomes.
The Prelude to the Conference was given by Dr.A.Suphalakshmi HOD, CSE Department, where 391 abstracts and 232 full papers were received out of which 169 papers were scrutinized for presentation. The Juries were from various reputed colleges like NIT, VIT, Anna University-Coimbatore, Bannariamman Institute of Technology, SASTRA University and IRTT. There were 7 parallel technical sessions conducted after the inauguration. Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal of Paavai Engineering College, delivered the Vote of thanks.
