ICATS-2017

A two-day conference on the title “International Conference on Adaptive Technologies for Sustainable Growth” (ICATS-2017) was inaugurated on 17thMarch 2017 on the campus of Paavai Educational Institutions.

Shri. CA. N.V. Natarajan, Chairman, Paavai Institutions, presided over the inaugural function .The conference was inaugurated by lighting the kuthuvilakku by Smt Mangai Natarajan along with the dignitaries. Dr. K. K. Ramasamy, Director Administration, Paavai Institutions, welcomed the gathering.

Mr. Pierre-Louis Moroni, President and CEO, Seat Air Systems, Inc., one of Southern California’s top aircraft seat frame modification and refurbishment facilities, was the chief guest of ICATS’17.

The Chairman, in his presidential address, highlighted the point that Innovation is the order of the day. Young minds are fresh with novel ideas and their thinking ability is different. This type of International Conference paves the way for the engineers to exchange their thoughts and acts as a ladder in their career.

The Chief Guest was introduced by Ms.R. Mohanapriya, Assistant professor of Electronics and Communication Engineering. In his keynote address the chief guest said that everyone should have the desire to succeed in life. He narrated his career history and told that students are different types of engineers looking for something better than before.

He emphasized the techies to find out their passion, to innovate, to invent, to challenge their fears, to think collectively, to design as a team and to think globally as they are the future of Incredible India.

In her felicitation, Mrs. Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent, Paavai institutions, told that the students have a lot of job opportunities where they can match their potential; and in that case, they will be wealthier than Bill Gates. She also added that ideas will give solutions to a lot of problems in the technical arena. Then, she advised the students and the staff to actively participate in the conference and make use of this rare opportunity in imparting and sharing the newly evolved thoughts and ideas in the area of Science and Technology.

Dr.A.Suphalakshmi, HoD, CSE, gave her prelude to the conference .Dr.M. Premkumar, Principal, Paavai Engineering College, proposed the vote of thanks.

Dr.M.Devi, Principal, Paavai College of Engineering, Dr.R.Arangasamy, HoD, ECE- Convener (ICATS’17), Mr.Gopal Vardharajan,Special guest, Deans, Controller of Examination, Heads of various departments, faculty members and participants from various Institutions and Press and Media people were also a part of the conference.
