First Year Inauguration ceremony for the Paavai Arts and Science college for the Women

The first year inauguration ceremony for 2018-19 batch took place on 27.06.2018 in the forenoon in Ananda Arangam of Pavai Educational Institutions. Smt.Mangai Natarajan lit the lamp along with dignitaries, which was followed by bajans and slogan chantings. Mrs.K.Vimala, the Head of the Department of Computer Science welcomed the gathering. Shri.CA.N.V.Natarajan, the Chairman of Paavai Educational Institutions hoisted the Paavai flag and warmly greeted the parents and the students. In his presidential address, he said that self-esteem, discipline and hard work are the three essential qualities to be followed in one’s life. He asked the students to take a resolution that they will speak and write in English on the campus for 30 days, avoid procrastination for 3 months and restrict using Social Media for 3 years. He further continued that friendship, relationship and worship are the three ships to be maintained for serene life. He concluded his speech that Paavai is the outcome of the dream of its founder and therefore the parents can trust its principles and the management.The Correspondent, in her felicitation address emphasized the significance of the logo of Pavai Arts and Science College for Women’s ‘Penmai Potruthum’. She highlighted on the parent-daughter relationship and insisted certain do’s and dont’s to both parents and their daughters in their relationship. She concluded her speech with a promising note that Paavai from now onwards will shoulder the responsibility of looking after the educational needs of their wards and assured that all the students will be trained to be women of character, faith, honest and wisdom. Mrs.N.Kalaiarasi, the Head of the Department of English introduced the Heads of various Departments of Pavai Arts and Science College for Women to the audience. Dr.K.Umamaheswari, the Head of the Department of Tamil proposed the Vote of Thanks. At the end of the inauguration ceremony, the first year students performed Paatha Pooja to their parents. T.R.Palanivel, the secretary, Dr.K.K.Ramasamy, the Director-Admin, Mr.S.Srinivasan, the Director Operations, Prof.R.Chenniappan, Dean English, Dr.R.Rajeswari, Principal, Pavai Arts and Science College for Women, and the Principals of Paavai Engineering Colleges graced the inauguration.
