The fifteen days (one day Physical and 14 days E-Learning) workshop planned and started from 1.3.18 to 15.3.18 on the topic “Empowerment of Entrepreneurship and Skill”. It has organized by Entrepreneurship Development Cell, Paavai Engineering College, Pachal, Namakkal associated with” The National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD) and National Entrepreneurship Development Center (NEDC). The Chief Guest for this workshop was Mr.A.DIN.PONGOTRA, Chief Mentor, National Entrepreneurship Development Centre (NEDC) Noida. Dr.K.K.Ramasamy, Director Admin, Paavai Institutions and Dr.M.PremKumar, Principal Paavai Engineering College presided over the function. The first day of the workshop started with the prayer song. Miss. S.Sinduja, I-MBA welcomed the gathering. The Director Admin inaugurated the workshop and explained the importance of Entrepreneurship skill for students. He insisted that all the students should become job providers not the job seekers. Next the Principal address the students. He explained the awareness on Entrepreneurship for the students. He pointed out that all students have to come up with their new ideas which can be converted as a new products, proposal or projects. Next the Chief Guest address the students and he discussed about EDPs in India, Business Scanning Environment, preparation of a business plan, project Identification & opportunity guidance, role of supporting agencies in India, technology assistance from R&D labs, how to apply for funds and subsidies for business etc.., in order to promote entrepreneurship / self employment among your students. The students were given with lot of ideas about entrepreneurship and influenced towards new startups. The Dignitaries presented the Momento to the chief guest. The Principals of various colleges in Paavai Institutions, Deans, EDC coordinator, Faculties & EDC Members took part in the Function. Finally the program concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Mr. S.Mohankumar, First year MBA.
