Paavai Institutions organized a Drug Awareness Programme on 09.03.2024 at Pragathi Hall. The Programme commenced with a prayer song followed by Tamizhthai Vazthu. E.Tamizhan, III CSE, PCE welcomed the gathering. Dr. K. K Ramasamy, Director Administration, Paavai Institutions, delivered the presidential address, insisting the students to know the impact of drug usage and the importance of healthy life. The event featured a special address by Mr. S. Durgaisamy, Sub-Inspector of Police, Prohibition Enforcement Wing, Namakkal, shedding light on the adverse effects and challenges associated with drug consumption.
Mr. S. Sathish Kumar, District Child Protection Officer, provided a comprehensive presentation on drug awareness, highlighting the symptoms and disorders resulting from drug usage. He emphasized the multifaceted risks associated with drug abuse, including physical, mental, and social consequences, as well as strategies for resisting peer pressure, recognizing signs of addiction, seeking help, and understanding legal implications.
T.Rayappan, I Cyber, PCE department proposed the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all participants. The session concluded with the National Anthem.
