A one day faculty development programme for the faculty of Electronics and Communication Engineering was organised on 30th May 2017 at PCT. The Programme dealt with means of gaining practical exposure and its application on Digital Signal Processing Laboratory using the software Matlab and TMS320C5X. Dr.K.Selvi, Dean-Academics, welcomed the gathering and talked about the importance of subject enhancement. The programme was organized in four sessions.
The resource person Mr.K.Baskar, Assistant professor/Electronics & Communication Engineering dealt with the topic “Introduction to Matlab” during the first session. In this session he explained the basic concepts of Matlab and the various toolboxes with the applications involved in it.
In the second session, he taught the variables, operators and various functions which are involved in Matlab for the execution of Programs and he gives the simple exercise for executing the program using the functions which are taught in the second session.
In the third and fourth session, the programs which are related to our Anna university Chennai syllabus has been taught and practiced effectively by the staff. The lab sessions helped the faculty to enhance the domain knowledge and application skills.
