Electrical Machines-II laboratory
In Paavai Institutions the Department of Faculty Development organized an in-house Lab-FDP for the faculty of EEE of Paavai Engineering Colleges on 26.5.2017 on “Electrical Machines-II Lab”. Dr. K. Selvi, Dean-Academics inaugurated the programme and explained how to conduct the lab sessions effectively.
Mr.T.Balaji, AP/EEE of Paavai College of Engineering was the resource person. In the forenoon first session, he explained the fundamentals of Electrical Machines-II Laboratory. He also elaborated the safety precautions that are to be followed. In the forenoon second session, he demonstrated the experiments on Regulation of 3 phase alternator by EMF and MMF methods, Regulation of 3 phase alternator by slip test, Load Test on 3 phase Induction motor, V and Inverted V curve of 3 phase synchronous motor, No load and blocked rotor tests on 3 phase Induction Motor, No load and blocked rotor tests on single phase induction motor, Load test on single phase Induction motor and Separation of no load losses in 3 phase Induction motor. In the afternoon session, the participants conducted the experiments. In the entire programme, the participants interacted well and got clarified their doubts.
