Paavai Engineering College has been nominated for the Cambridge English Higher Education Preparation Centers Award for South Asia by Cambridge English Language Assessment. The institution has been shortlisted for South Asia Best 25 Preparation Centers Award for Higher Education 2016-18.
The award function was conducted on 21st September 2017 at the British Deputy High Commission, Nunkambakkam, Chennai. On that occasion, a panel discussion on the title, Transforming Learning and Teaching – Reimagining Technology took place among the representatives of the shortlisted 25 institutions. Dr.M.PremKumar, Principal, Paavai Engineering College, represented the institution and received the award. It is a great moment of pride and the sincere and heartfelt gratitude and thanks go to the Cambridge English.
Coaching for Business English Certification (BEC) course is being given from 2010 for the students as well as the faculty of this institution. So far, 21 batches of students have been trained in the BEC PRELIMINARY and five batches in the BEC VANTAGE. On the whole, as many as 2000 students and teachers have got benefitted and they have developed their English language skills and enhanced their communicative ability. And this venture of facilitating the students and teachers towards improving their English language skills (LSRW) with the constant and continuous support and guidance of Cambridge English in the years to come.
