Astra'25 - A cultural Extravaganza for Engineering students held on 27.03.2025 & 28.03.2025

Day 1 – 27.03.2025

“ASTRA 2025” – A two day intra-collegiate cultural extravaganza was organized by Paavai Educational Institutions under the student activity forum AURA and SPARISM on 27.03.2025 and 28.03.2025 for Engineering students headed by Director Student Affairs. Director Student Affairs cum ASTRA Convener Ar. Avanti Natarajan welcomed the gathering. In her welcome speech, she stated a decade of ASTRA has created a platform for the Paavaians to explore their inner potentials and become achievers.
In Astra’25, Engineering students of Paavai Institutions were grouped as three teams namely Paavai Warriors, Paavai Troopers and Paavai Crusaders. Chairman CA. N.V. Natarajan presided over the inaugural function, Inaugurated “Astra’25” and delivered the presidential address. In his presidential address, he stated that Astra’25 serves as a platform to improvise the student’s skills, leadership qualities, organizational behavior and cultural activities. He also added that more than being a normal cultural fest, it will give the students some good experiences to shape their creativity and talents. He also included that these type of cultural fest will encourage and motivate younger minds to overcome fear and hesitation. ASTRA’25 was designed with a total of 50+ grand events grouped under 12 categories like Dance, Music, Let’s Talk, Dramatics, Tamil forum, Fashion Runway, Media, Art Attack, Fireless Cooking, Mega Rangoli, Sports events etc . These events were conducted to prove students’ strength and unity in this competitive cultural environment. Prelude for ASTRA’25 was given by Ms. R. Swetha, Third B.E (CSE) and Mr. A. Ajmal Thahseen, Third Year B.E. (Cyber Security). Smt. Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent, Paavai Institutions felicitated the gathering.
Day 2 – 28.03.2025

In the day 2 of ASTRA’25, events grouped under 12 categories like Dance, Let’s Talk, Dramatics, Quiz, Tamil forum, Media, Art Attack, Fireless Cooking, Sports events etc were conducted and the winners were announced. In the valedictory function, Director Student Affairs cum ASTRA Convener Ar. Avanti Natarajan welcomed the gathering. Famous female singer Ms. Saindhavi and her band performed live singing on the title Isaiyum Nilavozhiyum for about three and a half an hour in Kalpana Chawla open theatre to a large gathering of Students and Faculty members of Paavai Institutions. Smt. Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent, Paavai Institutions felicitated the gathering.
