The Annual Day celebrations of Paavai Educational Institutions were held at the Kalpana Chawla Open Auditorium. The event was presided over by the Chairman of Paavai Educational Institutions, Shri CA. N. V.Natarajan.
The special guest of the occasion was Mr. Sridhar Vembu, Co-founder and Chief Scientist of Zoho Corporation. The Principal of Paavai Engineering College, Dr. M. Premkumar, delivered the annual report.
The event began with a welcome address and presidential speech by Shri CA. N. V.Natarajan, the Chairman of Paavai Institutions.
In his speech, he said:
“With divine grace and the blessings of nature, I feel proud to witness the discipline and calmness of our beloved students during this Annual Day. This celebration is a reflection of the achievements and activities of the past year. Dear students, today’s accomplishments are the outcomes of yesterday’s thoughts. Therefore, if your thoughts and dreams are strong, you can certainly achieve great things.
To become achievers, follow these principles: sincere goals, a clear path, perseverance, hard work, disciplined conduct, and devotion to God. If you consistently follow these, you will become successful individuals.
For the academic year 2024–2025, Paavai Engineering College has secured the third position in student admissions across Tamil Nadu. For the eighth consecutive year, we have won the Champion of Champions title from Anna University.
Moreover, in Internshala, we have consistently secured the 1st rank at the national level for the eighth time.
In terms of placements, 95% of our students have been placed in leading companies like Wipro, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, and others.
These achievements are just a glimpse of what Paavai has accomplished. In the coming years, I wish that all of you will shine like pearls and gems in the crown of Paavai’s success.”
Following this, the Chairman honored Mr. Sridhar Vembu with a memento and a ceremonial shawl.
Special Address by Mr. Sridhar Vembu:
In his speech, he said:
“As students pursuing education, you are the foundation and backbone of the technological world. Hence, it is essential that you have a futuristic vision of technology.
In the next 2–3 years, Artificial Intelligence will revolutionize industries. It is already happening. Therefore, young students like you must deeply understand and explore it.
You should become experts in new technologies and software tools. At this young age, you must stay focused on opportunities, because success comes only to those who are truly deserving. Continuously improve yourselves day by day.
Our India is a land rich in natural resources and proud traditions. Yet, we are still technology consumers, not producers. Do not aim to work abroad. Instead, think about what we can do within our country to bring progress.
Identify sectors in which our country, state, district, or villages are lagging behind and take action to bring development. That will lead to India’s economic growth.
Preserve our culture and heritage and pass it on to the next generation.
Above all, strive to be self-reliant—but not selfish. Ensure that your success never disrupts your inner peace.
As a contribution to society, continue to do good deeds like planting trees and renovating ponds. That way, you’ll also protect nature.
I wish you all the very best in becoming good human beings and wise citizens.”
After his address, students and professors interacted with Mr. Sridhar Vembu and cleared their technology-related doubts.
Finally, the Correspondent of Paavai Educational Institutions, Mrs. Mangai Natarajan, proposed the vote of thanks.
