Paavai Institutions organized Anna University Inter Zone Boxing tournament on 23rd & 24th November 2019. Shri.CA.N.V. Natarajan, Chairman, Paavai Institutions was the chief guest for the inaugural ceremony. Around 250 students from 25 colleges were participated in this from tournament all over Tamilnadu. Paavai Engineering College students gave a fascinating performance and bagged the overall championship in both men and women category. This was the Sixth consecutive year for Paavai Engineering College students in securing the overall Boxing championship in the Anna University Inter Zone tournament. The winners in this tournament have been selected to represent Anna University in the All India inter university boxing tournament to be held in December 2019. Dr.N.Thangaraj, Deputy Chairman, Anna University Sports Board congratulated the medalists and distributed the trophies to the winning colleges. The medalists in the tournament were congratulated by Mr.N.V. Natarajan, chairman, Mrs. Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent, K.K.Ramasamy, Director Admin Mr. K.Senthil, Director Admission and Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal, Paavai Institutions. Mr.N.Santhana raja, Director of Physical Education, Mr. Sakthivel, Coach and other Physical Directors of Paavai Institutions were made all the necessary arrangements for the conduct of the tournament. The two days successfully completed on 24th November 2019 at 7.00 pm with a photo session programme.
