A Two Day Workshop on: “Soft Skills Training for Young Minds and Talents”

A Two day workshop was organized by the Department of Management Studies, on 24/01/2018 and 25/01/2018 on the topic, “Soft Skills Training for Young Minds and Talents”. The faculty members of MBA department conducted the workshop for final year under graduate students of Arts and Science Colleges in and around Namakkal. Dr.P.Muthusamy, Professor cum Head – MCA Department and Course Coordinator of MBA Department presided over the function and welcomed the gathering. Dr.R.N.Padma, HOD in-charge, MBA department started the session with an introduction about soft skills and explained about its significance in real life. She conducted a session on interpersonal skills and explained about its need and importance. Mrs.T.Gomathi, Assistant Professor, MBA department, handled a session on Team Building. The students were given group activities to understand the need for team work and challenges involved in it. The next session was handled by Mrs.A.Sathiya Priya, Assistant Professor, MBA department on Communication Skills. Games and exercises were given to the students to explain the ways and means to improve their communication skills. The students actively participated in all the sessions and interacted with the faculty members. At the end of the session, Dr.R.N.Padma, HOD in-charge proposed the vote of thanks.
