The Faculty Development Department organized an in-house FDP for the faculty of ECE of Paavai Engineering Colleges on 03.05.2017 and 04.05.2017 on the title “Electronic circuits”. Mrs.K.Shyamala (Assistant Professor, ECE, PCT) was the resource person for the forenoon session on 03.05.17. She explained about biasing process and its classification with real time applications. Miss.K.Nithya (Assistant Professor, ECE, PCE) handled the second session wherein she spoke about the basics of BJT amplifier and its configuration and difference between DC load line and AC load line. The resource persons made use of videos to drive home the concept. Tutorials were conducted and problems were given to the faculty to work out on the second day, Mrs.K.Shyamala taught the frequency analysis of BJT and filters. Problems were given related to signal analysis of JFET amplifier. The last session was handled by Miss.K.Nithya and Mr.V.Sundhararaj. They outlined the basics of MOSFET and the importance to integrate the same in IC. Current mirror circuits, PMOS, NMOS current sources were clearly explained. Dr.S.Sugumar, Dean Civil Engineering, Dr.R.Kasthuribai, Dean Faculty Development and Dr.K.Selvi, Dean Academics graced the programme.
