The Income Tax department, Namakkal conducted an outreach program regarding paying Income Tax at the Tata Hall of Paavai Institutions on 08.08.2019. Mr.P.Suresh Rao, Joint commissioner of Income Tax department, Salem region was the chief guest of the program. The program commenced in the presence Mrs.Sinthanai Sirpi, Joint commissioner of Income Tax department, Namakkal. Mr.Madhavan, Mr.Krishnamoorthy, Income Tax Department officials, Shri.CA.N.V.Natarajan, Chairman, Dr.K.K.Ramasamy, Director – Administration, Paavai Institutions and other professionals from the Income Tax department graced the occasion. Inaugurating the session through video conferencing Mr.Krishnamooorthy, Freight Tax department, Namakkal pointed out the importance of paying income tax and its objectives to contribute to National structure, growth and development. Following that, Mr.P.Suresh Rao, the Joint commissioner of Income Tax department, Salem Region stated : “According to the Income Tax law, those who earn above the tax slabs need to pay income tax. The Income tax laws are simplified now in order to enable the tax payers to comply with the rules”. In addition to that, many outreach programs about tax obligations are conducted to inculcate tax culture among the assesses. The lawful tax payers are the architects of our nation. Because nation’s welfare schemes are held through taxes only. Hence the tax payers need not entertain any fear about the process. The Income Tax Department has ensured hassle – free service to the tax payers. And with, ‘just & fair dealing, the tax payers are invited to fulfill their responsibility.” He continued that, students are the future citizens of our nation. So they should spread the message of paying income tax on time among the people. It is for sure that they will hold high positions in the future. They will earn a lot of income too. And on such time they are expected to lawfully pay taxes on their income. After the session Mr.P.Suresh Rao interacted with the students and answered their queries too. Shri.CA.N.V.Natarajan, Chairman, Paavai Educational Institutions honored the chief guest with the shawl and a memento. The Chairman also spoke on the responsibility of the citizen as to pay income tax to the government. After that, officials from the income tax had shared their views on tax culture, with the vote of thanks and the national anthem, the program came to an end.
