Ministry of Youth of Affairs and Sports, Government of India organized the Khelo India University games for the students of various universities from all over India. The main objective of this competition was to bring out the talent of the younger generation and motivate them to perform and excel in sports.
Our student Mr.K.Vignesh of I MCA of Paavai Engineering College participated in the Khelo India University Games – 2021 and we are happy to announce that Mr.K.Vignesh of I MCA of Paavai Engineering College has won the Gold medal in the event, Weight lifting at Khelo University Games 2021, which was conducted by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India from 24/04/2022 to 03/05/2022 in Jain University, Bangalore. There were 180 University students participating in the Khelo India University Games 2021. Mr.K.Vignesh, I MCA of PEC representing Anna University Chennai has won in the category of 109kg,124kg in Snatch and lifted 154kg in Clean and Jerk. He lifted a total of 278kg.
