A motivational programme was conducted at Paavai Educational Institutions for students preparing for government examinations. The Founder and Chairman of Paavai Educational Institutions, Shri CA N.V. Natarajan, presided over the event and delivered the presidential address.
Ms. Reshma, who secured All India Rank 181 in the UPSC examination and 4th rank in Tamil Nadu, participated as the chief guest. Ms. Pavithra, a third-year student from the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, delivered the welcome address.
Mrs. Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent of Paavai Educational Institutions, felicitated the gathering.
Following this, UPSC achiever Ms. Reshma delivered a special address. In her speech, she said:
“When you succeed in government examinations and begin your career, you may be required to work across multiple fields. The syllabus, examination pattern, and interview strategies help develop this multidisciplinary expertise. Therefore, the preparation phase itself shapes you for your future career. You must think with a long-term vision. Government examinations test your broad thinking, analytical ability, logical reasoning, time management, and communication skills. If you excel in these, you can become a competent and ethical officer.
From my experience, I would like to tell all students—never doubt your abilities; believe in yourself first. Even if you feel discouraged during failures, staying committed to your goal will keep you moving forward. Reading books will help you become resilient. Analyze your strengths and weaknesses and learn how to handle them. With confidence and perseverance, keep trying again and again.
If you begin preparing for competitive exams during your college years, it will become easier for you. While preparing, you must have clear planning and the consistency to execute it. Reading newspapers daily will help you stay updated on current affairs. Avoid distractions and stay focused on your goals. I wish you all success.”
Subsequently, Mr. Kalyan, Director of King Makers IAS Academy, explained the preliminary and main examinations to the students.
Earlier, students had the opportunity to clarify their doubts regarding government examinations with Ms. Reshma.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Dharanya, a second-year student from the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, followed by the national anthem.
