Paavai Educational Institutions organized a special function to honor faculty members for their outstanding project proposals and contributions to research and innovation. The event was held in the presence of the Founder and Chairman of Paavai Educational Institutions, Shri CA N. V. Natarajan, who presided over the ceremony.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by Dr. R. R. Krishnamoorthy, Director (Research), Paavai Educational Institutions. Smt. Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent of Paavai Educational Institutions, felicitated the gathering and appreciated the efforts of the faculty members in promoting research and entrepreneurship activities within the institution.
Delivering the presidential address, Shri CA N. V. Natarajan emphasized the importance of research and innovation in higher education. He stated that faculty members should not confine themselves only to classroom teaching, but should also actively engage in research, innovation, and entrepreneurial initiatives. He highlighted that the institution has been continuously encouraging faculty members to undertake innovative projects and research activities that would contribute to the academic and societal development of the nation.
He further noted that the awards and financial support provided through such initiatives would motivate faculty members to transform their innovative ideas into successful projects and commercially viable products. He encouraged the professors to become mentors and role models for students by fostering a strong research culture within the campus. He also expressed his expectation that more faculty members would come forward with quality research project proposals in the future.
During the ceremony, certificates were presented by Shri CA N. V. Natarajan and Smt. Mangai Natarajan to faculty members who excelled in research and entrepreneurship activities. For excellence in Research and Development, certificates were awarded to Mrs. Sathya, Mr. Saravanan, Mr. Hariprakash, and Mrs. Divya from the Department of Physics. Certificates for the Best Entrepreneurship Project were presented to Dr. Mohanapriya, Mrs. Gangarani, Dr. Kailash, and Mr. Gautham Kumar.
The programme concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Mrs. Gangarani, Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Paavai Engineering College. The event came to an end with the National Anthem.
