The Paavai Innovation Forum (PIF) proudly inaugurated the 26th Centre of Excellence as EdSols Applied AI Studio on Friday, 10th July 2026, at 11:00 AM. The inauguration marked a significant milestone in Paavai Institutions’ continuous efforts to promote innovation, interdisciplinary learning, and industry- oriented education.
The inauguration was graced by two eminent industry experts as the Chief Guests: Mr. Vimal Laxman, Scientist ‘E’, Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Chennai, is an accomplished scientist with extensive expertise in high-performance computing, embedded systems and digital innovation. His valuable insights highlighted the role of AI-driven technologies in shaping India’s technological future and emphasized the importance of research, innovation, and skill development among engineering graduates.
Mr. Shanmugasundaram, Director – CIC, Wipro, Chennai, is a distinguished technology leader with vast experience in enterprise digital transformation and industrial innovation. During his address, he shared valuable perspectives on industry expectations, emerging technology trends, and the competencies required for students to excel in the rapidly evolving global technology landscape. The AI studio has been designed as an advanced experiential learning centre where students can gain hands-on experience in Robotics, Industrial Automation, Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Autonomous Systems. The facility encourages students to develop real-time industrial solutions using state-of-the-art hardware and software platforms while fostering creativity, innovation, and research.
The establishment of the EdSols Applied AI Studio reflects the vision of Paavai Institutions to create an innovation-driven educational environment that bridges the gap between academic learning and industrial practice.
