Short Film Making

Good at Story Telling? Good at writing screen plays? Good at Acting? And do u have the knack to direct a movie? Guys, get together and make a short film! The screen is yours!

Theme : Change – மாற்றம் 

 

  • Maximum 2 Teams per Master Team.
  • Duration : 5 – 15 minutes.
  • Participants are advised to avoid violence or negative themes in their short films.
  • Obscenity of any kind is not allowed and will lead to immediate disqualification.
  • Plagiarism is strictly prohibited. Sound track can be borrowed, but with due credit.
  • The movie should strongly adhere to the theme given.
  • Register your team with overall staff co coordinator.
  • Judges decision will be final. Any violation will result in elimination.
  • Only the first two places will be awarded.

Marks will be assessed based on Story, Direction, Narration, Performance, Music or additional effects.

Photogram

Capturing a moment and preserving it forever, this is probably the greatest gift to mankind from mankind. Photography has developed tremendously over the past few years due to the leaps it has taken in the field of technology. But it’s not just technology that creates a beautiful moment, it’s the person behind the lens that does the real magic.

The theme for the event is “Emotions of Astra” and the photo should be clicked on the day of the event. Minimal Editing is allowed. Participants should submit before and after effects Photographs.

  • The photo should adhere to the theme given.
  • Maximum 10 participants per Master Team.
  • 1 entry per participant.
  • Editing photos is strictly prohibited.
  • The photograph must not contain any obscene content.
  • Register yourself with overall staff co coordinator.
  • Judges decision will be final. Any violation will result in elimination.
  • Only the first two places will be awarded.

Marks will be assessed based on Technique, Creativity, Composition / clarity of the photo.

Poster Design

Any Mega-Event attracts participants only by its unique posters. The posters need to be informative, attractive and expressive. There is always a danger of over-doing or under-doing it so the participant needs to be very careful about it.

The theme for the POSTER DESIGN will be revealed on the day of the event.

  • Max 3 participants per Master Team.
  • Posters cannot contain copyrighted material.
  • Topics will be given on the spot.
  • Posters should correspond to the given topic.
  • Poster Size : A3 (297mm× 420mm).
  • Software available : Adobe Photoshop, Corel Draw, Adobe Illustrator.
  • TIME LIMIT : 2:00 Hrs.
  • Obscenity of any kind is not allowed and will lead to immediate disqualification.
  • Judges decision will be final. Any violation will result in elimination.

Marks will be assessed based on Adherence to theme, Software usage skill, Visual appearance/composition/beauty.

Logo Re-Design

It has happened many times that people forget the name but remember the logo of some major companies. A logo need not explain every little detail of the company or institution as that is not even remotely possible and it is actually a wrong concept. A logo is something that represents an institution/company instead of describing it.

Pick your favourite brands logo and redesign it to the way you like.

Pick any Food brand and re-design their logo.

  • 3 participants  per Master team.

  • Participants will draw a logo digitally.

  • Bring your own laptops with the necessary softwares installed.

  • TIME LIMIT : 2:00 Hrs. 

  • Obscenity of any kind is not allowed and will lead to immediate disqualification.

  • Judges decision will be final. Any violation will result in elimination.

Marks will be assessed based on Adherence to theme/explanation, Visual appearance/composition/beauty.
