LETS' TALK
Turncourt
Speaking “For” or “Against” a topic requires vast knowledge. Speaking for both of it simultaneously definitely requires one to be a voracious reader and listener. Turncourt requires the participants to speak “For” and “Against” the topic within the time limit.
This is a group event.
- Maximum 3 Participants per Master Team.
- Time Limit : 3 mins per participant.
- Participants are asked to stick to the Time Limit.
- Topics will be allocated as per lots.
- Judges decision will be final. Any violation will result in elimination.
- Only the first two places will be awarded.
Marks will be assessed based on Fluency, Content_relevance to the topic, Boldness/level of language usage, Presence of mind.
Just a Minute
“Spontaneity is a meticulously prepared art.” -Oscar Wilde.Talk for 1 minute on the given topic. It is all about spontaneity without repetition, hesitation or deviation.
This is a solo event where a spontaneous talk for 1 minute can be presented.
Maximum 3 registrations per Master Team.
You need to talk spontaneously for 1 minute either in TAMIL or English.
Judges decision will be final. Any violation will result in elimination.
Only the first two places will be awarded.
Marks will be assessed based on Fluency, Pronunciation, Boldness / level of language usage, Content_relevance to the topic.
Dumb charades
One should be good at acting and also good at understanding what the other is trying to enact. The typical Dumb charades with a twist.
Group Event
- 3 teams per master team.
- Maximum 3 participants per Team.
- Register yourself with overall staff co coordinator.
Judges decision will be final. Any violation will result in elimination.
Only the first two places will be awarded.
Spot Light
Spot Light is a form of marketing with the goal of selling the given product to the judges. Communicating the value of your product or service is a key aspect of spotlight.
All you need to do is, to convince the judges to buy the given product
- Maximum 3 registrations per Master TEAM.
- Products will be allocated as per lots.
- You need to talk spontaneously for 2 minute either in TAMIL or English.
- Judges decision will be final. Any violation will result in elimination.
- Time Limit : 3 mins per participant.
- Only the first two places will be awarded.
Marks will be assessed based on Ability to convenience (art of convincing), Creativity / presence of mind, Fluency / boldness / level of language usage(english / tamil).
