“ASTRA 2026” – A two day intra-collegiate cultural extravaganza was organized by Paavai Educational Institutions under the student activity forum AURA and SPARISM on 26.02.2026 and 27.02.2026 for Engineering students headed by Director Student Affairs.
Director Student Affairs cum ASTRA Convener Ar. Avanti Natarajan Inaugurated Astra’26 and welcomed the gathering. In her welcome and presidential speech, she stated a decade of ASTRA has created a platform for the Paavaians to explore their inner potentials and become achievers.
In Astra’26, Engineering students of Paavai Institutions were grouped as four teams namely Paavai Warriors, Paavai Troopers, Paavai Sentinels and Paavai Crusaders. She stated that Astra’26 serves as a platform to improvise the student’s skills, leadership qualities, organizational behavior and cultural activities. She also added that more than being a normal cultural fest, it will give the students some good experiences to shape their creativity and talents. She included that these type of cultural fest will encourage and motivate younger minds to overcome fear and hesitation. Prelude for ASTRA’26 was given by Ms. M.Preethi, First Year MBA and Mr. T.Naren, First Year B.Tech. (IT).
ASTRA’26 was designed with a total of 60+ grand events grouped under 12 categories. In Music category, Voice of Astra event, In Dance category, Solo – Classical event, In Dramatics category, Monologue, Mime [Boys], Mime [Girls], Still- Sirppam, Classics – Reliving at 60 -70 events, In Art Attack category, Street Art (Mega Rangoli), Chalk art Pattern, T shirt Painting, Collage, Fruit|Veg Carving, In Design category Card Board Furniture Design, Fashion Runway (Boys), Fashion Runway (Girls), Designer of Newspaper dressing, In Media category, Photogram, Wrapper – Redesign, Prompt Engineering Battle, In Lets Talk category Ad-zap, Shipwreck, JAM, In Tamil category Pattimandram, In Adventure category Checklist In Sports and Games category Kabadi (Boys), Kho-Kho(Boys), Kho-Kho(Girls), Volley Ball (Boys), Volley Ball (Girls), T-20 Cricket events were conducted to prove students’ strength and unity in this competitive cultural environment.
