Paavai Engineering College hosted a two day National Level Technical symposium TECHFINIX’18 on 2.2.18 and 3.2.18 to fortify the students with exuberant knowledge in their related fields. The inaugural function started with the grand teaser. Correspondent of Paavai Institutions along with other dignitaries lighted the kuthuvilaku. S.Kaviya from Final year ECE welcomed the gathering. Chariman, Shri.CA.N.V.Natarajan gave his presidential address. Shri.R.Pannir, General Manager – HR& Medical, Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited, Tiruchirapalli gave the keynote address and unveiled the screen of TECHFINIX ‘18
Number of events were organized in TECHFINIX ’18 out of which for paper presentation event. 472 abstracts and 392 full papers were received out of which 135 papers were shortlisted. The panels of Juries for this event were from reputed Institutions. Common events organized for all departments were Technical Quiz and Photography. Circuit Debugging, Line Follower, Multimedia Presentation, Talk show, Workshop for ECE and EEE students, Code Treasure, Google surf and LAN Gaming for CSE & IT. Water Rocketry, 3D Race, IC Race for Mechanical students. Code Cracking, Brick Modeling, Poster presentation for Civil students. Chem-o-Philia, Chem War, Chem Freeze for Chemical students. Aviation Art and Fly in for Aeronautical students. Poster presentation and Workshop for Agri students. Robo War, Robo Soccer and Treasure Hunt for Mechatronics. Also, Event Manager was conducted to test the smartness of the students.
In the Valedictory function, Aravind Pradeep, Founder of Swadesh IAS Academy and Premanand Sethurajan, Founder and CEO of LMES Academy were the guest speakers. Premanand Sethurajan highlighted the importance of knowing basic engineering concepts through you tube links. Aravind Pradeep focused on how students should prepare themselves to become a Grade one officer and also suggested few tips to be followed for Civil service examinations. Prize winners were awarded and Mr.J.Mithun Dass from Final Mechatronics gave the vote of thanks.
