The Faculty Development Department organized two days (29.11.2017 and 30.11.2017) in-house FDP for the faculty of ECE of all Paavai Engineering Colleges on the title “Control System Engineering”. Mrs.M.Sahaya Sheela (Assistant Professor, ECE, PCT) was the resource person for the fore noon session on 29.11.17. She explained about Classification of control system and Methods to determine transfer function with real time applications.
Miss.M.Sathiyapriya (Assistant Professor, ECE, PCE) handled the second session wherein she spoke about the Time response analysis and Steady state Error. The resource persons made use of videos to drive home the concept. Tutorials were conducted and problems were given to the faculty to work out on the second day, Mrs.M.Sahaya Sheela taught the frequency response analysis using plots to find the frequency domain specifications. Problems were given related to Bode plot and Polar plot. The last session was handled by Miss.M.Sathiyapriya. She outlined the basics of Stability and the methods to determine the stability of the system using various methods. Routh-Hurwitz criterion and Root locus methods were clearly explained. Dr.R.Kasthuribai, Dean Faculty Development and Dr.K.Selvi, Dean Academics graced the programme.
