An in-house Faculty Development Programme on “Mechatronics Lab” was conducted by the FDD on 20.05.2017 for the faculty members of Mechanical Engineering departments of Paavai Institutions. Mr.P.N.Mohan Kumar, Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering, PEC, was the resource person for the forenoon session. He handled the session on various Mechatronics lab elements like components, circuits and working of hydraulic, pneumatic, electro-pneumatic and automation studio software. The practical session was held on various hydraulic, pneumatic circuits, constructed in the training kit and their working was simulated with the automation studio.
The afternoon session was handled by Mr.P.Mohanraj, Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering, PEC, wherein he taught about the Architecture and function of 8085 Microprocessor along with the basics of programming in microprocessor. The practical session was on arithmetic, logical and sorting operations.
The training program was well received by the faculty members.
