Paavai Engineering College organized a programme titled “U.S India relationship and Educational ties” on 23.06.2016 in JRD Tata hall. Smt.Mangai Natrajan, Correspondent, Paavai Institutions, presided over the function. Mrs.Avanti Natrajan, Director Student Affairs, gave the welcome address.
Mr. Philip A.Min, US Consulate General, Chennai, was the guest speaker. In his keynote address, he stated that the Indian brain as regards the acquisition of Science & Technological skills in the field of software Engineering is extremely tremendous and that is the reason why most of U.S MNC companies recruit tech graduates from India. He continued that “Today’s inspiring Youth are the future leaders of the world”. He also added that Peace, Growth and Security are the three essentials for the success of any nation. He pointed out that the ratio of US-India Relationship with regard to Higher Education has drastically grown up from the bottom line over the past five years. He also appreciated the innovations carried out in Paavai Institutions through Microsoft Innovation Centre.
Following the keynote address there was student interaction, wherein he answered to the various queries posted by the students. He answered that flexibility in the Educational pattern; Collaboration and exposure are the main differences between Indian system of Education and the U.S system of Education. He advised that those who desire to pursue higher education in the USA should get adapted to climatic changes and they have to choose institutions and Colleges as per their lifestyle.
